Dr. Jun Cheong completed his medical training and graduated with an MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from Edinburgh University in 2004. 

He underwent comprehensive training with renowned university teaching hospitals such as Addenbrooke's Hospital Cambridge, Royal Papworth Hospital, and Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, and completed his fellowship at Royal Brompton Hospital in London. During this time, he completed his post-graduate examinations with the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and the European Exam of Core Cardiology. He has also completed the 12 months Management and Leadership Development Programme with Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. As a mark of excellence for physicians, Dr Cheong has been elected to the fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP).

He is listed on the General Medical Council specialist register as a Cardiology specialist and achieved full accreditation in performing cardiovascular CT, echocardiography, and Cardiac MRI with:- 

British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging / British Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography - UK, 

Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance - USA, 

European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging - Europe.

Dr. Cheong was also a proficient researcher and has extensive experience as a sub-investigator for several multicentred clinical trials such as FOURIER, ODYSSEY, ENGAGE AF, AVERROES ALECARDIO, and PALLAS. He has several PubMed-cited publications on coronary artery disease and cardiac imaging.
